    Who is Covered by Title IX?

    All educational institutions that receive federal financial assistance are covered by Title IX. Consistent with Title IX, The New School prohibits all forms of discrimination and harassment based on sex in all educational programs and activities of the University as well as in employment and admissions. The New School also prohibits discrimination and harassment based on protected classes recognized in federal, state and local laws.

    Who Enforces Title IX?

    The United States Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces Title IX. Information about OCR can be found on the U.S. Department of Education website.
