First-Year Students
We understand that where you live is a central aspect of your first-year college experience. At The New School, all first-year students enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at our New York City campus are guaranteed housing and are automatically
signed up for on-campus housing for their first year.
We want to make the process as smooth as possible for you. All you need to do is submit your housing preferences,
so that we can make sure you are matched with your ideal roommate in a residence hall that suits your needs and preferences.
Before you submit your housing preferences, you must:
- Be accepted as a full-time student by one of the colleges of The New School
- Receive your New School ID number (N plus eight digits)
- Pay your tuition deposit (where applicable)
- Receive instructions for logging in to my.newschool.edu
