  • Roy Moskowitz

    Roy Moskowitz is the chief legal officer of the university, and works collaboratively with the board of trustees, president, vice president, and senior management offering strategic direction, while providing leadership to the Office of the General Counsel.

    Mr. Moskowitz has a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York, College at Purchase and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. Mr. Moskowitz has over twenty years of experience in education legal practice in New York and has been with the University since August 2006. Prior to joining The New School, he served as a senior administrator and Counsel at District Two in the New York City Board of Education (2000-2004), Deputy General Counsel and Acting General Counsel for the City University of New York (1990-2000) and Deputy Counsel to the New York State Education Department 1988-1990).
