    Hazard Communication Policy (PDF)

    This policy ensures that employees are informed of hazardous chemicals in the workplace as required by OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).

    Chemical Hygiene Plan (PDF)

    This policy establishes procedures to protect laboratory employees from hazardous chemical exposures as required by OSHA’s Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories Standard (29 CFR 1910.1450). 

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Policy (PDF)

    This policy applies to all employees whose responsibilities put them at risk of exposure to recognized hazards that require the use of personal protective equipment as a barrier between the employee and the hazard(s). It outlines requirements for the selection and provision of PPE, and training to comply with various OSHA regulations.

    Ozone-depleting Substance Policy (PDF)

    This policy ensures that the university recovers and recycles refrigerants which are known ozone-depleting substances (ODS) during servicing and disposal of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, as required by the EPA's Clean Air Act.

    Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan (PDF)

    This policy protects employees with reasonable risk of exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials during their routine job tasks.

    Respiratory Protection Policy (PDF)

    This policy applies to all employees who wear respirators to protect against airborne contaminants.

    Confined Space Entry Policy (PDF)

    This policy applies to employees and contractors who are required to perform duties in confined spaces.

    Lockout/Tagout Policy (PDF)

    This policy is to prevent injury during servicing or maintenance of energized equipment or machines by authorized employees.
