    La Nueva Onmaked Nega
La Nueva Onmaked Nega explores the design, culture, and methods of resiliency that indigenous communities have endured through their symbiotic relationships with nature. Climate change is an immeasurable threat to indigenous groups including the Guna Yala community located on the San Blas Islands in Panama, an archipelago under threat of disappearing due to the effects of rising sea levels. La Nueva Onmaked Nega explores the new Congress House on the mainland and its role in maintaining Guna cultural integrity and traditions, and as a site of transition for Guna communities. An important aspect of this new Congress House is to bring the community back together to be able to surpass these hard times of transition and use the importance of the Congress House to incorporate a new community space that keeps their traditional design alive.
