Reflection
Reflection' uses digital technology to demonstrate how our understanding of ourselves contrasts with reality. It began as an exploration of our self-image and the behavior of constantly checking mirrors to reassure ourselves that we are the same as the fantasy we have of ourselves in our minds.
'Reflection' is an interactive installation that engages people with an effect-based mirror projection of themselves, bringing the audience into the installation as the subject matter. The interactive experience allows people to examine the way people tend to look at themselves.
'Reflection' is designed to reflect the idea that change is the only constant. People conceive of themselves as static and fully formed, but the reality is that our forms are constantly in flux. The project is developed to imitate the uncertainty of the reality; therefore, the concept of constant change is the key point in the development of this interactive installation.
