  • Looking Down/Walking Through

    Advising

This thesis collection, Looking Down/Walking Through, is about the experience of looking at the city from an aerial perspective versus the physical experience of walking through it. For the “looking down” pieces, I developed prints and embroideries based on illustrations of aerial perspectives of the city. To create the experience of walking, I attached small pieces of trash to my garments, and used lines to evoke the feeling of moving through space. My hope is that this collection will inspire people to be more aware of their surroundings. Countless magical moments are passed by every day. Walking through the city can be more gritty than glamorous. But we must not forget the hopes and ideals we had when we were looking at it from afar. www.yeahyeahyee.com
