    Martina Kohler is an architect and educator originally from Germany. Before coming to NYC, she was a member of the full–time faculty at the Technical University Berlin, teaching design studio in the Graduate Architecture Program as a research assistant professor. Martina gained professional experience at offices in Munich, Berlin, and New York working on award-winning projects. During that time, she was also a visiting assistant professor at the Pratt Institute. For the past five years, Martina has been a part-time faculty member at Parsons, teaching the First Year program courses Sustainable Systems and Space/Materiality. Her professional practice today focuses on developing design solutions that contribute positively to the environment, reflecting her interest in the larger questions of global climate change and its impact on urban areas. Martina holds a Master of Architecture from the Technical University Munich and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the University of Colorado, Denver, where she completed a postgraduate program as a Fulbright scholar.
