    re:walk
RE:WALK is a home-based mobility aid inspired by my family's experience with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Survivors often face years—sometimes a lifetime—of rehabilitation, repeatedly replacing walkers as their needs evolve. This product integrates the following three design principles into a single, adaptable system. (1) Modular parts: Interchangeable components let users adjust the level of support as strength and balance improve. (2) Custom-molded grip: A room-temperature-curing silicone handle conforms to each user's hand, restoring comfort and control despite limited function. (3) Domestic materials: Warm, durable wood replaces hospital-grade metal, helping the device blend into living spaces and reducing the psychological burden of the product “feeling medical” at home. RE:WALK seeks to humanize rehabilitation technology and provide ICH survivors with a kinder, more dignified path back to walking.
