    Imagine a world gripped by environmental devastation and widespread disease. Men and women look to the stars for answers. The stars answer, or rather their appointed magistrates do, delivering scripture that blames particular groups for bringing on the destruction. United by a common enemy, people cope by scapegoating the vulnerable and powerless—following a pattern observed throughout history, including the Salem witch trials of the 17th century.

    Blight is a 2D adventure video game about modern-day witch trials, depicting a world facing social upheaval and economic crisis in which scapegoating by the church sets off a chain reaction resulting in a witch hunt.
