Profile
Sasha Topolnytska is a New York–based architectural designer, educator, and founder of FARMMM Studio, an interdisciplinary design practice rooted in architecture, care, and advocacy. FARMMM creates objects, installations, and experiences that center inclusive design, joy, and emotional well-being across diverse audiences. Grounded in architectural thinking yet resistant to the romanticized notion of a singular design style, FARMMM embraces a layered and emotionally responsive practice—one that moves fluidly between disciplines, evolves through people and places, and responds to the needs of each moment. The studio is guided by curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to design that is inclusive and joyful.
Sasha’s work has been recognized with the NYCxDesign Award, and her collaborative projects have received support from the Center for Architecture AIA New York, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the Design Trust for Public Space. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University.
Alongside practice, Sasha teaches architecture studios at the Spitzer School of Architecture at City College and Interior Design courses at Parsons School of Design / The New School. She has also taught at Pratt Institute and worked with award-winning architecture and design offices including TenBerke, Architecture + Information, and JG Neukomm Architecture.
Sasha Topolnytska is a co-curator of the Constructing Hope: Ukraine exhibition, currently at the Chicago Architecture Center. The first exhibition of Constructing Hope: Ukraine took place at the Center for Architecture AIA in New York City during the Summer of 2024.
