    Ryan Aasen

    Profile

    Ryan Aasen (Åsen) is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and educator whose work explores the politics of media technologies—particularly how they shape identity, perception, privacy, and truth. He has been an artist-in-residence at Triangle Arts Association, a Transmedia Storytelling Initiative fellow at MIT, and a Northern Lights.mn Art(ists) on the Verge fellow. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Walker Art Center, Boston Center for the Arts, MIT List Visual Arts Center, and The Judy Garland Museum. He has developed and led courses in art, design, and technology at institutions such as MIT, RISD, Parsons, and Stevens Institute of Technology, with a pedagogical focus on integrating conceptual frameworks with technical skill-building.
