    Rodrigo Bautista Medina

    Profile

    I am Design and Innovation Lead at Forum for the Future International NGO. I lead the team that uses design as a research and delivery tool in support of our work with clients to drive impact for a just and regenerative future. Beyond design thinking for business-as-usual, I'm interested in using design as a critical practice and tool to challenge and provoke action towards positive change. As part of the Impact team, I also manage and deliver collaborative projects combining design with a systems lens to deal with complex questions about climate change impacts, technology adaptation and ambiguity.   I'm also a member of the Responsible Leader Network led by the BMW Foundation, I am faculty for the New School in NYC, and facilitator and design curator for the School of System Change.   Before my current role at Forum for the Future, I was founding director of a design research consultancy, Engage by Design; a strategic advisor for Made of Air, the carbon-negative material startup; an External Examiner at Brighton University in the UK; and a co-founder of 21st Century Design.
