Renee Cooper is an international educator. She has taught and lectured in programs from Mexico, Germany, Russia, Rome, London, and Paris. She teaches online and hybrid versions of courses in Retail Management, Leadership Development for Retailing, Fashion Merchandising, and Marketing. Cooper is a former full-time Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) of the State University of New York (SUNY). She has been awarded the SUNY Chancelor's awared for Excellence in Faculty Service. She received a Fulbright Scholarship by the State Department of the U.S. and taught in Copenhagen Denmark. She has held the position of Director of Sourcing for a manufacturing firm and national retail Buyer.

Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md. and a Master of Professional Studies degree in Global Fashion Management at FIT.

Published and presented an Innovative Practice Paper entitled, “COIL Collaboration,” to the Association of Leadership Educators in Sacramento, Ca.
Performances and Appearances
During the Fulbright scholarship, in addition to lecturer, she participated as a panelist at the conference, “A Fast Track to Global Mindset.” She also spoke on “Omni-Channel Retailing in the U.S.” at the Deloitte headquarters to the Danish business community.
Research Interests
Government funding for international education: Fulbright Advocacy and Alliance for International Education, Washington. D.C. Team leader for meetings with Congressional and Senatorial representatives on Capitol Hill to advocate for funding for the next fiscal year.
Awards And Honors
She was granted a Fulbright scholarship by the U.S. State Department, the Fulbright Commission of Denmark, and the American Chamber of Commerce of Denmark in Copenhagen Denmark. There, she lectured at the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology (KEA) on marketing, business development, leadership, visual merchandising, and sales.
Recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service from SUNY for consistently superior service.
