Peter Wheelwright is an architect, educator, and writer. He is currently Emeritus Professor and full-time faculty member in The School of Constructed Environments where he was Chair from 1998-2006 (formerly known as The Department of Architecture, Interior Design and Lighting) and where he directs graduate thesis students in Architecture, Interior Design and Lighting Design and teaches a seminar in environmental philosophy, social theory and design history. The principal of PMWArchitects (www.pmwarchitects.com) in New York City, his work has been widely published in Architecture , Metropolitan Home, Metropolis, New York Times, Ottagono, Architectural Record, the Journal of Architectural Education, and the ACSA Journal. The Kaleidoscope Dollhouse and Poolhouse, designed in 2001, is in The Permanent Collection of Art and Design at the Museum of Modern Art, and his recent novel, As It Is On Earth, published by the Fomite Press (www.peterwheelwright.com), received a 2013 PEN/Hemingway Honorable Mention for Literary Excellence in Debut Fiction. Wheelwright holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Trinity College and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University.
