Nancy Dayanne Valladares (b.1991) is an interdisciplinary artist, filmmaker and educator from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Her practice delves into the histories of image-making, through the lens of botany, ecology, and more-than-human worlds.
Nancy is interested in technologies of vision and the way these are scripting the future of images. Her ptactice examines photography’s historical entanglement with botanical imaginaries and chemical legacies. Valladares completed her Bachelor in Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters of Science in Art, Culture and Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
