Muriel Favaro

Profile

Muriel Favaro is a Swiss-born design executive and artist. She has been a part-time faculty member at Parsons since 2009 where she has taught juniors and seniors in the Fashion Design BFA program. Within the fashion industry, Muriel has worked in increasingly high-level design positions at companies such as Kate and Andy Spade, Saks, Tocca, LeSportsac, and Kenneth Cole, among others. Some of her work includes working with artists such as Karole Armitage and Meredith Monk and assisting David Salle. Currently, Muriel serves as a design consultant for a wide range of fashion companies and is in the process of launching her own collection of accessories, gift, home, design and art collection. Muriel likes textiles, geometric patterns and colors. She sews, paints and prints. Muriel received her BA in Modern Literature and Languages from College Rousseau in Switzerland. She has completed additional academic coursework from the School of Visual Arts in Print Making and at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Millinery and Accessories.
