Miyoung Song-Carroll joined HLB lighting design firm NYC as a senior associate in 2023 after 18 years of practicing lighting design at Fisher Marantz Stone architectural lighting design firm in New York and has completing hospitality, health care, institutional, museum, residential, corporate and landscape projects, both domestic and internationally. Sustainability, human impact and well-being are always a key point in her work and represented in each of her projects.
She is the recipient of numerous lighting design honors from IESNY Lumen Awards program for her various interior and exterior, domestic and international projects. Her most recent completed works are a hospitality project, Hardrock Casino in Atlantic City, and an exterior park project, Little Island in NYC.
She was academically trained as a sculptor and designed dozens of illuminated public art installations after graduating from her graduate school. Miyoung also worked designing and manufacturing custom decorative light fixtures for prominent hospitality clients.
Her creative background and in-depth understanding of materials will contribute to a unique and exciting learning experience about light and surface.
