Profile

Maya Kapur is a strategist and experience designer at an experiential marketing agency, where she leads end-to-end strategy for large-scale brand experiences. Her work focuses on audience insight, narrative development, and designing clear, purposeful journeys that shape how people engage with event experiences.

Her freelance wedding work ultimately inspired her to launch MadeFor Studios, where she leads planning and design for couples seeking thoughtful, well-executed celebrations. Working closely with clients throughout the creative and logistical process strengthened her belief in experience design as both strategic and deeply human, a perspective she brings into her teaching and professional practice.

Maya earned her BBA in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design, with a minor in Communication Design. During her time at Parsons, she founded the BBA Mentorship Program, served as Co-Chair of the Parsons Student Senate, and was an active member and leader within the university’s debate and public speaking communities. She is proud to now teach in the same program that shaped her own practice and continues to mentor students as part of her ongoing commitment to the Parsons community.

Outside of work, Maya enjoys dance, cooking, travel, and creative projects that let her explore new ideas and craft meaningful experiences in everyday life.
