Kelly Ernst (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary design strategist who works to advance social impact innovation through the imagining of cultural futures, new design practices and cultivating spaces of belonging. Kelly applies design strategy to areas of social impact innovation including the energy transition and art and culture industries. Kelly has contributed to design research, innovation and strategy on various initiatives including standing up Duke Energy’s transformation and innovation studio, creative economy recovery research with the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, the development and launch of the Creative Vitality Summit, has sat on panels for the Music Policy Forum, Wyoming Business Alliance and The Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant program as part of the National Endowment for the Arts’ Creative Forces initiative. Currently, Kelly contributes as a design strategist at strategy design consulting firm Method, and sits on the board of the Civic Canopy, a civic and social innovation nonprofit.
