    Profile

I'm a design researcher and project manager that works in close collaboration with city and state government agencies, national nonprofits, and local community partners across NYC to ensure that places, policies, and programs are designed by and with (not just for) their communities.   Until recently, I was a project manager at Hester Street, an urban planning and community development nonprofit that ensures neighborhoods are designed by the people who live in them. Before that I was a student in the MFA Transdisciplinary Design program at Parsons, where my research focused on the histories and possible futures of participatory design practices. Before that I was a mechanical engineer specializing in digital fabrication and product testing.
