Hannah is a fiber artist, licensed Occupational Therapist, and educator whose practice bridges thread painting, mixed media, and community-based art making. Hannah is the owner of Hannah Lamar Studio, LLC, where she creates custom embroidery artworks and DIY kits, and leads live and virtual workshops. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally in venues such as Calico Gallery (Brooklyn, NY), Supermoon Art Space (Queens, NY), Woman Made Gallery (Chicago, IL), and the Carrboro Arts Center (NC). She has also participated in artist residencies including the Saint Lewis ART Revolution with Anne Hamilton, NYC Art x Sweet Treat 311 in Ogatsu, Japan, and is the recipient of two residency scholarships from The Art Students League of New York.
For over two decades, Hannah has designed and led workshops for learners of all ages and abilities, from children on the Autism Spectrum to adults picking up a needle for the first time. Her teaching emphasizes curiosity, lived experience, and experimentation, creating accessible and justice-oriented spaces for creative growth.
