• Profile:

    Fiore Sireci has taught literature, philosophy, and language in a number of settings. He earned a B.Sc. degree in education and music performance from Brooklyn College and is a flutist. For many years, he taught English and civics in citizenship and immigrant programs. In 1998, he was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach English literature and classroom pedagogy in San Jujuy, Argentina. He earned a Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh, U.K., where his research focused on Enlightenment political writing and the work of Mary Wollstonecraft. In his work as editor, he has assisted in the preparation, publication, and marketing of graphic novels, memoirs, and educational texts. Fiore is also engaged in a long-range ethnographic project, interviewing the residents of Vallemaio, in the region of Lazio, Italy, especially World War II survivors and traditional farmers. Fiore’s teaching practice is interdisciplinary and interactive. He is firmly committed to the success of his students and the support of his colleagues.
