    Colby Lamson-Gordon

    Profile

    Colby Lamson-Gordon studies the contents and limits of embodied memory through video and sound. Informed by transracial, transnational (dis)placement, they make from imagined memory and imperfect connection to place.

    Colby’s video work has been seen at Ridgewood Off-Kilter Film Festival, the East Village Film Festival, Exit Space Nod Theater, and Parsons School of Design. Their sound works and collaborations have been performed at Residency Unlimited, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Mannes School of Music, and Gallery ZXY. Colby received an MFA in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design and a BA in Economics from Barnard College. Colby is based in New York City.
