Chris Beck designs, draws, paints, and writes in Brooklyn, and is a Registered Architect in the state of New York. His research examines the creative process in art and design fields, focusing on the effects of digital technology on methods of making, and systems of capital in labor and production. He also works as a Project Architect at Bernheimer Architecture, serving as a member of both the organizing and bargaining committees in the first private-sector architecture union. His forthcoming book, The Labor of Architecture: Design, Creativity, and the Building of a New Class Consciousness, will be published with Monthly Review Press.
