Yvette Chaparro is an Assistant Professor of Product and Industrial Design in the School of Constructed Environments.
She is an educator and industrial designer. Yvette Chaparro Studio’s clients include Restoration Hardware, Ammara Designs, Villeroy & Boch, Kate Spade, Prym Consumer, West Elm, Ralph Lauren, and others. While working for the design firms Global Brands Group and Springs Global, she was brand-leader for products created for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and more. Yvette is the former director of the MFA Industrial Design programme and has been teaching product and industrial design at Parsons since 2015. She has also taught at the Academy of Art University.
Yvette was educated at Pratt Institute (Master of Industrial Design) and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Professional Degree, Industrial Design). She participated in the Scandinavian Furniture Design Programme through the University of Copenhagen’s international study programme. She is currently a PhD Candidate at Transart and Liverpool John Moores University.
