Natalie Fizer is a principal in Fizer/Forley, a research and design office which explores the production of both architectural and cultural artifacts. Fizer/Forley's research has resulted in several exhibitions which include "Artificial Memory," an exhibit surveying the history of memory devices; "The Democratic Monument in America 1900-2000," a traveling exhibit on the monuments and trails of the twentieth-century American landscape; and "Opening the Oval," a timeline history of the interior of the White House, Washington, D.C. Fizer has received a New York State Council on the Arts grant and a New York Foundation for the Arts grant. Forthcoming publications are essays in Recreating the American Past (University of Virginia Press) and Theoretical Practice. Fizer/Forley's design work has been published in Interior Design, Arcades, New York Magazine, and The New York Times.
