Bernard Kahn is an adjunct professor in AAS-Marketing for over 6 years at Parsons and is an Adj, Assistant Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Production Management for over 30 years. With a background in manufacturing and marketing, Mr. Kahn has a broad fashion business background. Mr. Kahn has been a fashion industry consultant for companies large and small, working closely with systems and industry specific applications to improve efficiency and the bottom line. At both FIT and Parsons the New School for Design, Mr. Kahn is a classroom and online instructor, teaching two classes he wrote for the New School, Ethical Fashion and Production Methods, both are offered in-person and on-line. Mr. Kahn has also concentrated on professional education, teaching at FIT for over 25 years in a wide range of industry current subjects including Quality, Garment Construction, Costing, Social Compliance and Global Security, Trend Analyis with Online Resources, Intimate and Swim Development and Management, and Marketing using Social Networking, and is facilitator for the Product Development Certificate program which he helped design in 2004.Mr. Kahn holds an AAS degree in Management Engineering Technology and BS in Production Management from FIT. He also earned an MAOM degree from the University of Phoenix. Mr, Kahn is a member of the ASQ, American Sewing Guild and sits on the board of directors for two Not-for-Profit organizations.
