Visual Identity

Our visual identity plays a critical role in conveying the breadth of our university to both academic and nonacademic audiences. Our unique visual identity was developed in collaboration with renowned Pentagram designer Paula Scher. The origins and creation of the system reflect our commitment to the power of design and our legacy of standing at the forefront of design excellence.

In the sections below and in the New School Brand Standards Manual, you’ll find our bespoke font, color palette, and design systems, which elevate this commitment. Adherence to these principles ensures cohesion and consistency in all university visual communication and promotes the New School brand.

Please note that all university logos and lockups must be created by Marketing and Communication. Please use the files and specifications provided. Do not re-create or alter any aspect of the logos, lockups, typography, or color palette.
