The New School offers a number of ways to create and host websites for use by faculty, staff, colleges, schools, and administrative departments and for sanctioned university purposes.
It is recommended to contact Digital Experience Platforms (DEP) before starting a website or blog or creating an app. DEP will consult with you on how best to proceed with your online project.
In order to link a website or blog to or from the New School website, you must follow The New School's Policy on External Websites and Blogs.
The New School hosts a number of academic and administrative websites under the domain newschool.edu, all supported by our Content Management System.
Registration of Existing Websites
The New School requires that all websites maintained on behalf of the university be requested or registered with M&C.
These include sites that reside either in the New School suite of sites (newschool.edu) or any site that uses any other purchased domain/URL. All new external websites and blogs must be vetted for issues of compliance with university branding and information privacy policy before site launch.
