To-Do List for Graduates

  • Apply for admission to The New School.
  • Search and apply for external scholarships. Check with your employer for tuition assistance programs.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 
  • Review the cost of attendance and develop a preliminary budget. Include all of your resources and expenses for one academic year.
  • Returning and continuing students can view their financial aid information through their MyNewSchool portal.
  • Newly admitted students can review their financial aid award and outstanding requirements in the Admission Hub. Grants and scholarships are automatically accepted; federal student loans are in an offered status until they are accepted.
  • Federal grants are not available to graduate students. Federal unsubsidized loans and Graduate PLUS loans are available. Review loan information at studentaid.gov.
