2026-2027 Changes

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), passed by President Trump and the U.S. government on July 4, 2025, introduced significant changes to federal financial aid and loan borrowing. These changes include eligibility for and amounts of Pell Grants, proration of federal loans for students attending less than full-time, removal of the Graduate PLUS loan, and changes to repayment plans. As more information comes out, our office will share it with the community to help guide them through this process.
