Loans

The U.S. Department of Education offers fixed-rate low-interest student loans to eligible U.S. citizens and noncitizens. Loan types and amounts depend on a student’s program, year in school, dependency status, and other aid received. Total aid, including loans, cannot exceed the school’s Cost of Attendance.

Student loans are also available from private lenders for those who are not eligible for federal loan programs or whose federal loans do not cover all of their costs.

Federal Loan Program Updates

Important updates to the Federal Direct Loan Program take effect July 1, 2026. Changes between the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic years will depend on whether you are a new borrower (no prior federal loans) or a continuing borrower (previously received federal loan funding). Please contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions.
