Seth Graves has taught at The New School since 2014. He teaches literary publishing and creative nonfiction and serves as Faculty Advisor to the undergraduate Honors Writing and Democracy program’s literary journal, 12th Street. In his writing courses, he encourages attention to the creative process, joyful investigation, and collage. He works for the Center for Teaching and Learning at Baruch College and was selected as a 2021 Carnegie Educational Technology Fellow for the City University of New York, where he's taught since 2012. Elsewhere, Seth is a magazine editor, critic, poet, musician, and media historian. He was educated at The Missouri School of Journalism (BA, MA), The New School (MFA), and The Graduate Center, City University of New York (PhD). His writing has been published in Coldfront, Poets & Writers, Boog City, H_NGM_N, Barrow Street, The Boiler, and No, Dear. He was associate editor of Coldfront (2012-2018) and edits the forthcoming arts magazine Future Concerns.
