2013 Bike-a-thon

Recycle-A-Bicycle and The New School present this three-day national conference geared toward youth, bicycles, education, and advocacy.

On Friday February 15, the event will include a keynote address by Enrique Penalosa, former major of Bogota, Colombia and alternative transportation advocate, and a showcase of The New School's bike-related student work as well as a free helmet giveaway, panel discussions and a design charrette. Various workshops are planned for Saturday and Sunday.

2013 Sponsors include: Planet Bike, Bike New York, New York Cycle Club, Rolling Orange, League of American Bicyclists, Transportation Alternatives, Bicycle Habitat and The New School.

Friday's event will be held at Wollman Hall, 65 West 11th Street, 5th floor. Saturday & Sunday's location will be posted soon.

Admission:

Event is free to all New School students, faculty and staff.
