At The New School, we believe that making an impact and addressing critical issues in the world demands an educational experience that reflects a diversity of views, experiences and perspectives. A New School education is one of the most worthwhile investments you will ever make—it will provide you with the tools for a lifetime of learning, engagement, and achievement. Our Financial Aid team will work with you to help make this important investment affordable.

Students enrolling for the first time in the 2026–2027 academic year and continuing students who entered in fall 2025 or later will find their tuition and fees rates on the New Students page.

Continuing students who enrolled before fall 2025 should go to the Continuing Students page to see their rates.

The New School has partnered with GradGuard to offer tuition insurance. This insurance provides a safety net for students and families by reimbursing up to 100 percent of non-refundable educational expenses—including tuition, room and board, and academic fees—if a student must withdraw during the semester for a covered reason. Covered reasons include serious injury or illness, chronic conditions, mental health challenges, the death of a tuition payer, or involuntary job loss of a tuition payer. A maximum of $50,000 in coverage can be taken out.
