Certified Electronic Credential

Beginning with summer 2018 graduates, The New School automatically provides Certified Electronic Credentials (also known as CeDiploma or CeCertificate). If you graduated before summer 2018 and would like to know more about CeCredentials, please contact us.

Diplomas will not be issued to students with holds on their record. Holds must be cleared before a diploma can be released. You can view your holds online. To clear a hold, contact the office that has placed the hold to resolve it.

Key Benefits

More than a Paper Credential

The credential is an official, secure, verifiable PDF record of your accomplishment.

Differs from a Transcript

  • Allows for unlimited sharing with family, friends, employers, and social media
  • Offers proof of education containing only important details
  • Is easy for employers to read and understand

Better than an eDiploma

Enhances Your Résumé

You can expedite the verification process by providing your CeDiD and validation URL on your résumé.

Highly Secure

  • Each CeDiploma and CeCertificate can be independently validated by potential employers, state government licensing agencies, and any other entity that wishes to confirm your achievement.
  • The document is digitally signed and encrypted, inspiring trust and acceptance.
  • For security reasons, the electronic credential cannot be printed.

Students: How to Access Your Digital Diploma or Certificate
