This minor introduces a variety of strategic design and management methodologies and skills necessary for the creation and growth of entrepreneurial ventures in a fast-changing environment. Students will hone their competencies in recognizing and developing
business opportunities. Students must have a disciplined and deliberate mindset as well as an openness to participating in group dynamics within creative and collaborative contexts.
The Creative Entrepreneurship minor is offered through Parsons'
School of Design Strategies and requires successful completion of 18 credits across six subject areas, as outlined in the chart below.
Note: Course availability may vary from semester to semester. Some courses may be in development and offered at a later time. Students seeking to pursue alternative coursework to fulfill the minor should consult with their advisors.
A student who has completed this minor should be able to demonstrate:
* Prerequisite: Quantitative Reasoning 1 or placement exam
Minors are available to undergraduate students across The New School except students at Lang and in the Adult Bachelor's Program, who are not permitted to declare
minors. For students at Lang and in the Adult Bachelor's Program who are interested in pursuing deeper study of this subject area, opportunities are available through the self-designed major in Liberal Arts. To explore this, contact

Adult Bachelor's Program.
Students in the BBA Strategic Design and Management program are also restricted from pursuing a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship. The Creative Entrepreneurship minor requires an application for admission.
