• Welcome to Counseling Services. We offer confidential support to students in a variety of ways. Please continue reading to learn more.

Whatever students are thinking or feeling or have experienced will be accepted, and our counselors will respect the influence of culture and identity on students' experiences. Our counselors will listen, talk with students about their goals, and help them find solutions to personal problems.

Our staff includes licensed psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors, as well as clinical psychology students and social work interns who are supervised by our licensed staff. We also have psychiatrists on staff, who are medical doctors who specialize in mental health and can prescribe medication if needed.

During an initial visit, a counselor will work with the student to decide on a treatment plan based on their current needs. Sometimes long-term or specialized treatment is recommended, and the counselor will help the student find appropriate referrals in the community. Group counseling is also offered and students can be in both individual and group counseling simultaneously.

Languages spoken by our staff include English, Spanish, Japanese, Hebrew, Turkish, Portuguese, Farsi, Pashto, and German.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call Emergency Medical Services at 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
