Mental Health

Counseling services are available both online and in person at Student Health Services (SHS). We offer short-term flexible counseling and supportive services provided by our counselors. During your first appointment (also called a brief assessment), you and a counselor will develop a treatment plan based on your current needs.

If you need longer-term or specialized treatment, ask your counselor to help connect you with resources in your local community.

SHS also offers in-person same-day walk-in appointments for urgent concerns Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please arrive no later than 2:45 p.m.

In-person appointments take place at Student Health Services, 80 Fifth Avenue, 3rd floor.

If your appointment is through telehealth, log in to the SHS portal to initiate check-in. A Zoom link will become available in the SHS portal once you have completed check-in, upon which your provider will be ready to start the visit. Please note that you must be located in New York State to participate in a telehealth appointment.
