The Department of Investments, Treasury, and Enterprise Risk Management manages The New School's treasury and cash needs, including banking relations and daily funding requirements. The department coordinates and manages all bond issuances, taxable and tax-exempt, and the related disclosure and compliance.
The department also manages the university's invested assets, the largest pool of which is the endowment. Through analysis and reporting, the performance of due diligence, execution of transactions, and research, the department ensures compliance with The New School's governance and investment processes and policies.
Support is provided to the Advisory Committee on Investor Responsibility (ACIR), which advises the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues as they relate to the investment of the university's endowment.
