Each semester, the Center for English Language Studies (CELS) offers a free pronunciation workshop open to the whole New School community — students, visiting scholars, staff, and faculty — who wish to improve the clarity of their speech and build their confidence in speaking English.
The eight-session workshop runs three times a year and typically begins at the end of September, the end of February, and the middle of June. We continue to accept enrollment until the workshop fills up. If the workshop is open for registration, you can sign up here and find out the dates and times.
Additionally, the University Learning Center offers specialized ESL tutoring in many other skill areas, including writing, speech, grammar, and more. Please visit the center's website for more information or to book your first individual tutoring session.
