The Center for English Language Studies (CELS) supports the academic experience of our linguistically diverse student body, with the goal of creating a learning environment that promotes success for all.
Through our programs and services, we provide language-supported curriculum, training for faculty and staff, language proficiency assessment and policy, and English language preparation pathways.
The CELS is dedicated to removing the barriers to linguistic equity and integrating English language support into the university curriculum and pedagogy in order to offer an inclusive model of higher education to our globalized student body.
The Center for English Language Studies is part of Curriculum and Learning in the Provost's Office.
