The India China Institute (ICI) serves as a hub for research and public engagement on India, China, and beyond. Its mission is to address issues of global concern through collaborative research and the formation of transnational networks of scholars and practitioners based in India, China, and elsewhere around the world.
ICI is committed to studying global flows and frictions and helping direct them toward more sustainable and equitable outcomes. We believe that studying and thinking about the past and present of India, China, and other countries in the Global South can provide new frameworks that offer alternative perspectives to dominant understandings of global politics, culture, and design.
