Father’s Mother
Elaine A. Cardella-Tedesco, Parsons School of Design '85
Marie is a devout, self-sacrificing mother who wants the best for her two children, especially her son, a priest. When she discovers a dark secret, she responds by taking matters into her own hands.
Father Joseph is an elderly priest who refuses to speak. What is his story? Angelissa lost her mother at a young age. Why is Marie drawn to her?
In this story of multigenerational conflict and unresolved trauma, the characters interact without knowing one another’s histories and, sometimes, their own. In the process, they encounter a hint of divine intervention.
