Creative Entrepreneurship

Overview

This minor introduces a variety of strategic design and management methodologies and skills necessary for the creation and growth of entrepreneurial ventures in a fast-changing environment. Students will hone their competencies in recognizing and developing business opportunities. Students must have a disciplined and deliberate mindset as well as an openness to participate in group dynamics within creative and collaborative contexts.

The minor in Creative Entrepreneurship requires successful completion of 18 credits across six subject areas, as outlined in the chart below.

Note: Course availability may vary from semester to semester. Some courses may be in development and offered at a later time. Students seeking to pursue alternative coursework to fulfill the minor should consult with their advisors.

Eligibility

Parsons minors are generally open to undergraduate students across The New School, except where program restrictions exist. All students should contact their advisors regarding their options before pursuing a minor.

Students majoring in the following programs are restricted from pursuing a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship:

  • BA/BS Liberal Arts
  • BBA Strategic Design and Management

The Creative Entrepreneurship minor may require an application for admission. Application information will be available in May.
