We offer student-led informational walking tours of The New School throughout the year. Tours are a great way to learn more about Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, our Greenwich Village campus, student life, academics, and the admission process. These walking tours are approximately one hour long and include a sit-down information session. The size of tour groups is limited. Prospective students should
register in advance and call the Office of Admission at least two days before the tour date to confirm their attendance.
We encourage our accepted transfer students who have confirmed their attendance to make a phone appointment with the Transfer Enrollment Coordinator. Our coordinator provides information about what to do before coming to campus and transfer credit evaluations. To set up an appointment, contact
Lang admission. Skype appointments are available for international students.
We're proud of our distinguished faculty and exceptional students. Experience a class for yourself by sitting in on a current class. To schedule an undergraduate class visit, email the Office of Admission.
College guidance counselors are encouraged to explore the
New School's website to learn more about the
connections with New York City of Eugene Lang College and the other divisions of The New School. Lang admission
representatives may be in your area. If you would like more information,
contact us to request a counselor packet.
Eugene Lang College welcomes groups from high schools and community-based organizations. To arrange for a group tour, contact
Denise Rodriguez at least one month in advance of your planned visit date. Group tours are limited to high school students; we cannot accommodate middle school groups at this time.
Lang applicants interested in the dance program are encouraged to attend a placement audition. This event provides an opportunity to learn about dance at Eugene Lang College and audition for placement within the program. This spring, our audition event for dance program applicants will be held at our April Admitted Students Event.
If you are not able to attend, you can submit a video for advanced placement in the program. Include a short demonstration of class exercise and phrase work, which can present a combination of genres and styles (5-10 minutes) and a solo work that highlights your strengths and personal style. Email a link to your audition to
email@example.com. Include your full name, address, and student ID number in the body of the email.
