Siddhartha Deb’s areas of expertise include the novel, literary journalism, narrative nonfiction, travel writing, as well as India and South Asia. He teaches creative writing at The New School and is the author of three novels: The Beautiful and the Damned: A Portrait of the New India;The Point of Return, which was a 2003 New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and An Outline of the Republic. His reviews and journalism have appeared in The Boston Globe, The Guardian, Harper’s Magazine, The Nation, the New Statesman, n+1, and The Times Literary Supplement.
