More than two-thirds of the world’s population is expected to live in cities by the middle of this century. With this growing urbanization, new and difficult questions arise about the ways in which we manage, design, and live in cities.
The New School’s progressive undergraduate and graduate communities are working together to combine theory and practice to understand complex urban problems and design solutions to them. Our programs blend the university’s strengths in design, history, public policy, sustainability, and planning with a commitment to social responsibility and global justice.
