The New School maintains electronic records for students who began attending classes in the fall of 1992, or the fall of 1995 for Mannes students. If you completed coursework both before and after that date, it is possible that your transcript record is located in multiple systems. You can complete your online request for a transcript, but the PDF option will not be available to you and your request may require up to seven business days to process.

Transcripts will not be issued to persons with holds on their records. Upon placing your transcript order, you will be provided with contact information for any hold that prevents your transcript order from proceeding. Holds must be cleared before a transcript request can be processed.

    Obtaining Course Descriptions

Course descriptions for courses currently offered can be found in the university course catalog. For courses no longer offered, please check the academic catalog archives to download and print course descriptions. If you cannot locate your course descriptions in either of these places, please complete the Course Description Request Form (PDF) to have the description researched. Please allow five business days for processing (seven business days for pre-1982 courses).
